Start with the right information
Your menu, atmosphere and everyday details are part of what makes your business distinctive. POKOTABI connects that information with travellers exploring Japan, across venue pages, neighbourhood guides and event coverage.
You can contact us now about corrections, verification or a service proposal. Self-service claiming, a page editor, direct public submissions and paid packages are not generally available on this website yet. Availability and scope will be confirmed with you rather than implied by a listing.
Request verification of your relationship to a venue
If your venue is already listed, send its page URL and explain whether you are the owner, an authorised manager or a representative. We may request suitable evidence through an agreed channel before granting any management access or identifying a page as owner-managed.
Verification confirms an authorised relationship. It does not transfer ownership of POKOTABI, certify a business’s quality or purchase a better rating. A correction request can still be made without claiming a page.
Discuss a website that feels like your venue
We welcome enquiries about dedicated venue websites: a distinctive presentation of your story, photographs, menu, hours, map and contact or booking links. Layouts and colours can reflect a café, restaurant or other eligible business while keeping essential visiting information easy to use.
A proposal can cover design, languages, hosting, an appropriate domain, updates and connections to relevant POKOTABI pages. Deliverables, fees, renewals, content rights, support and cancellation terms must be agreed in writing before a paid service starts. We do not promise search rankings, visitor numbers or reservations.
Advertising with clear boundaries
Businesses can enquire about sponsored features or advertising that reaches a relevant audience. Any accepted paid placement should be clearly labelled and kept distinguishable from independent information.
Advertising is not a way to buy review scores, verified facts or an undisclosed recommendation. Placement, duration, supplied materials, approval and reporting should be set out in the service agreement.
Suggest a new venue or an event
Until direct submission tools are available, send proposals using the form below or [email protected]. A useful venue proposal includes its name, address, category, official contact and photographs you are entitled to provide. For an event, include the organiser, location, dates, admission details and an official announcement.
Suggestions are considered for relevance and sufficient information; publication is not automatic. Only submit material you can lawfully share and clearly identify whether you act for the business or organiser.
