Shop for Kojima specialties at local manufacturers’ tents
A number of sales tents will be set up, mainly featuring local manufacturers that reflect Kojima’s identity as a “textile town.” Part of the fun is walking around the venue, browsing the tents and seeing what’s on offer. Rather than deciding in advance what to buy, you can explore and see what you discover on site.
One of the festival’s attractions is the chance to enjoy local manufacturers’ sales and regional food at the same venue. You can plan your visit around the venue’s offerings, perhaps stopping by the food alley between shopping.
Shimotsui octopus rice and more in the food alley
The food alley will feature local Shimotsui specialties, including takomeshi (octopus rice). Add a taste of the region to your time browsing the sales tents, and enjoy combining shopping with a meal.
