The First Film's Music Resonates with the Screen

The featured film is director Robert Zemeckis's original "Back to the Future." A full orchestra of over 80 musicians will perform the entire score live in sync with the complete, uncut film. Follow Marty's journey through time in the DeLorean from 1985 back to 1955, brought to life through the harmonious interplay of screen visuals and orchestral sound.

The music is composed by Alan Silvestri, conducted by Ichiro Saito, and performed by the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra. Beyond the Back to the Future trilogy, Silvestri has scored numerous other films for director Robert Zemeckis, including "Forrest Gump." This concert features the first film in the series.

Concert ambassador Atsushi Tamura shared his experience watching the film with an orchestra on the official website, noting how the musicians performed not just the background score, but even subtle sound effects live on stage. The runtime is scheduled for approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including one intermission. The film will be screened in English with Japanese subtitles.
